The month of May has been anniversary month here at High Minded Horseman. To celebrate in style we
hosted lavish parties in exotic locations popped a bottle of Prosecco out back on the patio; it’s been a fun fascinating year. Numbers don’t lie, well at least the ones from Google Analytics are pretty reliable and what they tell us is exciting- think Sally Field’s 1985 Oscar acceptance speech.
Starting out twelve months ago from scratch with an audience of zero, our page view totals steadily rose and by year’s end reached 34,891! That’s 12,140 visits from 91 different countries around the world. Thank’s for bookmarking this site, emailing our stories and leaving comments; especially our Face Book and Twitter fans.
Our original writing, award winning fine art and photography are our strengths, you won’t find regurgitated, aggregated, content-farm dribble at HMH. We are a true web-based publication; dynamic, search engine friendly, interactive and above all fast.
It’s interesting to see what was popular and which articles generated the most traffic. Google says our most popular individual writer is the multi talented Mike Capron with his column; Tales of Texas and the most popular section of the website is the Feature department.
Of our wonderful contributing writers, Cary Schwarz takes the blue ribbon with his article: A Saddle Story; congratulations Cary! Your piece generated big numbers. And strange as it seems, our most popular overall keyword search item turned out to be; Pat Parelli weight loss, who knew?
HMH is a horse magazine but we’re also pretty techie. We’re formatted for the iPad, iPhone and Android phone. You’ll find that High Minded Horseman reads easily on every browser whether on Windows or the Macintosh and prints beautifully. Our website is custom built on a cutting-edge Ruby software platform. As a result, our download speeds measure in milliseconds so even our dial-up readers are happy.
A big thank you to Jake Wald, Denise Shirey and all of our special contributing editors and writers- you trusted us to publish your work, I can think of no higher complement. We’ll keep growing and working to improve because; you like us, you really like us! Thanks and have a great day from High Minded Horseman.
